Who Cried AGI?
An interactive timeline of AGI claims—who said what, and when, from Turing to today’s AI CEOs.
About This Site
What is it?
Who Cried AGI? is an interactive timeline of public AGI claims: who said what, and when. Entries stretch from early computing figures such as Alan Turing through today’s AI founders and researchers, with short quotes, dates, and context tags.
You can skim by era, zoom into a year, or browse predictions grouped by person. The point is the paper trail of hype and hedging—not another model leaderboard.
How to play
- Open the timeline and scroll or jump across decades with the mini-map at the bottom.
- Click a claim card to read the quote, speaker, and caveat tags.
- Use Search to find a person or phrase; Submit a claim if you spot a sourced prediction that is missing.
- Switch to “Predictions by person” when you want one speaker’s trail instead of the calendar view.
